CWICR Estimate Executive Summary Generator

A full CWICR-coded estimate is exactly what an estimator needs and exactly what an owner won't sit through: dozens of line items, codes, and unit rates that bury the three or four numbers that actually matter to whoever's deciding whether to proceed, and turning that detail into a one-page summary usually means someone manually re-adding division totals the night before the meeting.

The skill takes the full CWICR-coded estimate, rolls every line item up to its division, computes each division's share of the total, ranks and names the 5 highest-cost divisions, and writes a plain-English narrative of what's actually driving the number — a handful of large-ticket items versus many small ones adding up, concentration risk worth flagging, that kind of story a bare table can't tell. It also pulls forward any exclusions or assumptions already flagged in the estimate, or that the user states directly, into their own clearly labeled section.

It doesn't re-price, re-code, or second-guess the underlying line items, and it doesn't do value engineering or bid comparison — those are separate skills, and this one says so rather than quietly overreaching into them. It also only summarizes an estimate that's already fully CWICR-coded with dollar amounts; a rough scope list or an estimate missing extended amounts on a material share of items gets flagged back to the user instead of a summary built on incomplete numbers.

CWICR itself is a US-market cost coding convention with no real equivalent in most other countries, but the underlying need — turning a dense line-item estimate into a one-page story an owner can actually act on — is the same anywhere a detailed estimate has to clear a decision-maker who isn't an estimator.
