CWICR Quantity Takeoff Organizer

A takeoff is a pile of measured quantities typed up line by line from a manual or digital pickup, and before any of it can be priced, someone has to sort it into cost codes, catch the item that got measured twice on two different sheets, and notice the linear item that somehow got entered in square feet — three separate failure points that all happen silently if nobody's checking for them.

The skill takes that raw, unstructured list of measured quantities — description, quantity, unit, source sheet, as typed by the estimator — and maps every line to its CWICR division and category code with a stated confidence level, groups and subtotals the coded list by division, flags lines that look like the same item picked up twice (same description and sheet reference recurring), and flags units that don't match what the item type normally uses, like a linear item measured in SF. It never deletes or adjusts a flagged quantity; it flags it for the estimator to confirm.

It is explicitly not a plan-reading or digital takeoff tool: it doesn't open drawings, doesn't measure anything from a PDF or CAD file, and doesn't generate a single quantity on its own. It only organizes and codes quantities the user already measured, by hand or with takeoff software, and its coded output feeds directly into the "CWICR-Based Cost Estimator" skill as the next step — it doesn't price anything itself.

How to put it to work on a real project

The idea isn't to download another file and forget it in a folder. Use it with a specific case: a pending certificate, a coordination meeting, a cost overrun or a handover to the developer. Fill in the resource with real data from your project, validate the result with your own technical judgment, and keep it as an internal reference to repeat the process next time.
